The Exilis Ultra Femme treatment is an advanced vaginal rejuvenation treatment which uses heat (via radio frequency) to increase collagen and elastin production. It is a non invasive, non surgical treatment for women’s intimate health and wellness. The treatment is designed to address both internal and external intimate tissue health.

It is a safe, and effective non-surgical alternative to vaginoplasty and labiaplasty procedures. The procedure tightens the labia, decreases the size of the introitus (vaginal opening) and the vaginal canal, improves natural lubrication, and improves sensation. It may improve stress incontinence. It is painless with a warm heat sensation. No anaesthesia is required and there is no downtime.

How does it work?

The Exilis Ultra applicator emits monopolar radio frequency (electromagnetic waves) and ultrasound to generate controlled heat that penetrates the deep dermal layers of the skin, delivering thermal energy deep into the vaginal mucosa and surrounding tissues. This causes the already present collagen fibres to contract and in turn helps to stimulate new collagen and elastin production. 

The heat generated (typically around 40degrees) impacts the dermal layers to reshape them and improve elasticity, stimulating fibroblasts and helping to tighten and strengthen tissue.

what to expect from treatment?

You will begin with a free consultation with Nurse Sarah who will create a personalised treatment plan addressing your specific concerns.

Three treatments once a week are recommended with a maintenance treatment included in the treatment package at 12 weeks. Additional maintenance treatments are required, but these are based upon the individual and the severity of symptoms.

Usually, internal treatment takes eight minutes and external treatment is based on your specific needs, but generally less than fifteen minutes

Most women report a comfortable warming sensation during treatment. The EmFemme system constantly monitors tissue temperature to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Which treatment is best for me?

Internal:

Is there downtime or side effects?

There’s no downtime with Exilis Ultra Femme treatments. You can return to all normal activities, including exercise and intimacy immediately.

Treatment feels like a comfortable level of heat such as a warm bath. Following treatment you may notice some mild swelling and redness in the treatment area, which usually disappears after a few hours.

When can I expect results?

You may observe improvement after a single session. The results will typically continue to improve over the next few weeks. Optimal results typically develop progressively over 2-3 months

To maintain optimal results, we typically recommend an annual maintenance session. However, this varies based on individual factors such as age, hormonal status, and specific concerns.

A study on postmenopausal women with Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) found that 83.3% of women who previously could not engage in intercourse due to pain (dyspareunia) were able to do so 2 months after treatment.

Who should not have EmFemme treatments?

Exilis Ultra Femme is not recommended for women who are pregnant, have active infections in the treatment area, certain metal implants, or active cancer. Our Nurse will review your medical history at consultation to ensure Exilis Ultra Femme is safe for your specific situation.
