Senior Medical Administrator

About the Company

Elanamie Clinic in Douglas, Cork is a multi-award-winning provider of non-surgical aesthetic treatments, known for its ethical practices and patient-focused care. Recent accolades include Aesthetic Clinic of the Year 2023 and Best Aesthetic Clinic Munster 2022. The clinic is now seeking a professional and detail-oriented Senior Medical Administrator to join its dynamic team.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9am–6pm

  • Friday: 9am–5pm

  • 2–3 late evenings per week (until 9pm)

  • Saturday mornings on a rotational basis

Salary:

  • €34-€37k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth

  • Manage bookings, appointment amendments, and cancellations

  • Dispense skincare and clinic products to patients

  • Handle payments (cash/card) and reconcile end-of-day accounts

  • Organise patient flow and ensure timely scheduling

  • Handle phone and email enquiries accurately and promptly

  • Take payments (cash/card) and complete end-of-shift account reconciliation

  • Dispense skincare and clinic products to patients

  • Ensure accurate handling of patient records and confidential information

Essential Requirements:

  • 3 years Medical Administrator experience

  • Proven discretion and adherence to GDPR guidelines

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and telephone skills

  • Strong computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Ability to learn and work with new IT systems

  • Excellent organisation and time management

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility to cover additional hours during colleague leave

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Holds a Medical or Business Secretarial qualification with high proficiency

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)

  • Polite, calm, and professional manner

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in patient records

  • Confident in identifying areas for efficiency improvement

  • Enjoys a varied, fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a strong advantage
